The chief investment officer of fixed income trading activity at Black River Asset Management, Jeff Drobny has been with the company since 1994. Jeff Drobny joined Black River’s parent company, Cargill as a senior trader in its Financial Markets Group in London. In 1998 he was transferred back to the United States to manage Cargill’s North American Fixed Income Arbitrage trading business. The Fixed Income Arbitrage business was a key component , alongside Emerging Markets and Commodities, which led to the launch of Black River Asset Management.
Outside of his professional duties at Black River, Jeff Drobny supports a number of charitable organizations such as the American Cancer Society and Children’s Cancer Research, Sharing and Caring Hands and Catholic Charities. Drobny also takes an interest in public education, supporting the Edina Education Fund.
